ABOUT THE ROLE:-
You Must Have:-
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in resort management, preferably with pre-opening experience.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, team members, and guests.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to handle complex projects and overcome challenges.
- Sound knowledge of hospitality operations, including front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, and guest services.
- Familiarity with financial management, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Understanding of marketing strategies and the ability to develop innovative promotional campaigns.
- Knowledge of local regulations and industry standards related to resort operations.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, including extended hours and weekends when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Main Responsibilities:-
- Leading the pre-opening team: You will assemble and lead a dedicated team of professionals to oversee various aspects of the resort’s pre-opening, including operations, marketing, finance, and human resources.
- Developing and executing the pre-opening plan: You will work closely with the project management team to develop a comprehensive pre-opening plan, outlining timelines, tasks, and resource requirements to ensure a smooth and efficient launch.
- Recruiting and training: You will be responsible for hiring and training a skilled and knowledgeable staff, including department heads and key personnel, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional service and meet the resort’s high standards.
- Establishing operating procedures and standards: You will develop and implement standard operating procedures and service standards across all departments, ensuring consistency and excellence in guest experiences.
- Collaborating with suppliers and contractors: You will work closely with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, overseeing contract negotiations and vendor selection processes.
- Implementing financial controls: You will work with the finance team to establish financial controls, budgets, and forecasting systems, ensuring the resort operates within approved budgets and achieves revenue targets.
- Creating marketing and promotional strategies: You will collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing and promotional strategies, including digital marketing campaigns, PR initiatives, and partnerships, to generate awareness and drive bookings.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards: You will ensure the resort’s compliance with all relevant local regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices, proactively addressing any issues or concerns.
- Managing stakeholder relationships: You will serve as the primary point of contact for owners, investors, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on the pre-opening progress and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Setting the foundation for post-opening success: Your role extends beyond the pre-opening phase, as you will be responsible for establishing a strong operational foundation that sets the stage for continued success post-opening, including ongoing staff training and development, guest satisfaction monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- The successful candidate will have a proven track record in resort management, preferably with pre-opening experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role.
